Weather Protocol

Rain makes the cement pad extremely slippery. It will be the decision of the Operations Manager if we are to play on the rink that day or not.  With that said, during days of rain or extreme heat, we will relocate the program to our indoor facility at Eastminster United Church.

Attendance Protocol

At the Withrow Ball Hockey Academy, we are highly concerned for the safety and security of your child as we have strict registration and attendance procedures. If your child is going to be late or not attending one day, please call our Operations Manager at (647) 973-6798. Additionally, we require a sign in and sign out of your camper(s) from our program each day.

Field Trips

Each week we go on new and exciting field trips. The field trip schedule and all details relating to the excursion can be found on the field trip page.

LUNCH

We often head to Eastminster United Church for lunch. This allows the players to get out of the heat and enjoy their lunch in an indoor facility. If the weather is nice, we will sometimes stay in the park and eat lunch under a tree. During the field trip days, lunch is often eaten at the field trip facility, so please ensure a lunch bag is provided. For the safety of our participants, we are a peanut free environment.

What to Bring

We will be outside for majority of the day of each session. Therefore, it is important that your player brings a pre-filled water bottle and sunscreen. Many breaks will be taken throughout the day to ensure the hydration and health of your child. Please ensure a lunch is packed each day. There will be a cash tuck that offers gatorades, chips, and freezies at lunch time, but we highly encourage to pack your camper with healthy snacks each day.
